Hello Red Lion Fans! Here we go again! The snow is falling and we are ready for the Opening Day of Vail Mountain. The Red Lion is rested up and ready to continue the 45- year tradition of being the place to see and be seen in Vail.

In The Red Lion kitchen, “Chef James” strives to offer a little something different every year.  One of our new offerings is a healthy choice option. The Spinach Salad is baby spinach tossed in a champagne vinaigrette, topped with candied pecans, blue cheese crumbles, egg, tomato wedge and pickled onions.  This new item is also available with a chicken breast. We have added a secret ingredient to our Fish Tacos, making them more delicious than ever and we have improved the presentation of the Game Creek Bowl, to make it a little more user friendly.  We have also taken one more step towards the “Holy Grail” of burgers with our NEW half-pound “Harris Ranch Natural Certified Premium” Beef Burger”.

After a cold, invigorating day on the mountain, the perfect way for you to warm up will be with a bowl of our piping hot soups or chili.  We are now pleased to offer a Bread Bowl as an option when enjoying either the soup or chili.

Our deserts are irresistible!  Along with our signature Gold Brick Sundae and Avalanche Brownie, we have added two dessert classics, Apple Pie ala mode and New York Cheesecake with strawberries.

We are pleased to announce, The Red Lion is now taking reservations for dinner seating in the back dining area!  We will accept reservations for our 6:00pm first seating only.  We can easily accommodate your larger party with seating needs of approximately 20 people, as well as parties of 2 or more.  Reservations for dinner seating at The Red Lion will fill quickly, so be sure to guarantee your reservation by calling us at (970)-476-7676. Please note: Our dinner waits are very reasonable…don’t be afraid to just drop in on us we will get you going quicker than anyone else on the street.

There is only one place to be day in and night out in Vail and it is The Red Lion.  The Red Lion has been voted many times over as the “Best Après Ski Bar in the World”!!  There is not a better place to relax, meet people and catch great entertainment anywhere.   The Red Lion offers entertainment 7 days a week during the ski season, with two shows every night (4-6pm and 9-11pm).

PHIL LONG starts his MORE THAN 20 YEAR TRADITION of winter entertainment at The Red Lion on November 21st, 2008, 4pm. DON’T BE LATE!!!!  Phil continues to be the number one reason people wake up in the morning, the (shhhhhhhh….) reason there is deficit spending in the United States and as a top spokes model for John Frieda, the reason John’s hair styling products have taken over the hair care industry.

Brendan McKinney continues his long illustrious stint with The Red Lion, handily taking on Sun-Tues entertainment duties.  Brendan is an amazing talent and has recently signed on with the exclusive “Adroit Records” out of Nashville TN.  With this fantastic news about Brendan, we are excited to announce that Brendan will continue to entertain you at The Red Lion.

The Red Lion will again host the best New Year’s Eve party in Vail!!  Tickets go on sale December 30th at 9am.  Tickets are $40 per person, which includes your night’s entertainment and a champagne toast at midnight.  Phil Long and his “Bridge Street Band” will be onstage at 9pm.  There are no reservations taken for tables on New Year’s Eve, it is first come first serve for seating only. “Click” on the News and Events section for complete, up to date information.
